I'm humbled by the faith the voters have put in me to preside over this court. This victory was truly a community effort. I could never have done this without the support of my family, friends and supporters.

My professional career has prepared me to go to work for the citizens of Denton County on January 1, 2009. I have 28 years of on-the-job training in the very same type of cases or similar cases this court hears, and I am excited at the opportunity to put that experience to work for the benefit of the citizens of Denton County.

I want the citizens of Denton County to know that they will not regret giving me this position of public trust. As a Judge, I will make decisions that will hopefully affect people in a positive way. I commit to you that my courtroom will be a place where everyone is treated fairly and with respect. Each case will be decided impartially, based solely on its merits.
